Sipas Wikipedia-s, Pol Mekartni (Paul McCartney), Xhon Lenon (John Lennon) dhe Xhorxh Herrison (George Harrison) formuan grupin Bitëlls në shkurt të 1958-ës. Në vitin 1962, grupit iu bashkua artisti Ringo Starr. Gjatë kësaj kohe ata u bënë të famshëm me \stili i tyre i parë qe një përzierje e shkëlqyer e rokenrollit amerikan të hershëm dhe ritmeve R&B, Bitëllsat zgjeruan kufijtë e muzikës së tyre përgjatë gjithë viteve '60. Ata eksperimentuan me rock-un popullor, muzikën country, muzikën psychedelic dhe popin barok.
